Mandala

A concentric diagram, painting, or drawing used in Tantric rituals to focus consciousness on both cosmic and individual/psychic energies. Such symbolic representations of cosmic forces (often as deities) are sometimes expressed in three-dimensional form, for example in the architecture of temples.
Similar to chakra, the term is used as well to indicate a ritual circle of devotees gathered for worship.
