A Very Detailed Exposition

Probably the most comprehensive work to date about the unique Tibetan tradition in which 'treasures' (terma) are hidden by someone (with the right powers) which are then - ages later - discovered by treasure-finders (tertons).

Having said that, to get an even more complete picture of the proces, one needs to read Janet Gyatso's book as well. In regard to the indispensable part women play in these 'discoveries', this Western author is more to the point than Tulku Thondup dared to be.
